The groups arrived in the city of Uxphon roughly a week ago.  It was intended to be a rest stop and hopefully a place where they can find new work or some new leads for future exploration.  Everything had been going fine until one of their number Shaias, the Reliable Glaive failed to return after spending the day in the market with the intent of learning information about an artifact she had acquired.

After waking up the next morning the group traveled through the pipes that made up the cities walkways and traveled to the market.  They hoped to find some information about their missing friend.  Their first planned stop was at the a small group of cypher merchants that had stalls in the market.  There they met a merchant named Om who claimed to have spent the day with their missing friend.  The party being a distrusting attempted to discern the truth of his statement.   One of their number Remi, ended up bumping into a table of cyphers.  They didn't react well to the interaction with her and the cyphers she carried.  This reaction ((A GM intrusion caused by a 1)) took the form of several cyphers merging together and attacking the group.

It was a short-lived fight all in all, but the group made quick work of the animated cypher.  Om was grateful for the assistance and retold the group of the last time she saw Shaias and repeated the directions he had given her the day before.
